What if I can't forgive us both?" is a body of work about endings in relationships - with versions of ourselves and others. These experiences have an impact on sense of self, mood, and mental health regardless of intention or memory. I received my Bipolar Type 2 diagnosis in 2021, which means the large majority of my life has been spent not receiving proper treatment for this. Now that I have had treatment, time and space I have had time to make peace with my chronic mental health condition. This series of images and video is raw to me, it is my most vulnerable I can be. Regardless of the impact bipolar disorder has on my creativity, creating this work helps me process my feelings about a wide range of life events - and it is easier for me to create images than talk about things at times. Through writing, still life and gesture, I show the constancy of both tenderness and pain; good and bad and hold these conflicting ideas at the same time.
